Secret Knock is a free independent alternative arts and events guide to Coventry and surroundings. Our mission is to champion local artists and independent businesses in our quarterly issues by bringing our readers a curated selection of the best upcoming arts, music, and other cultural events, as well as featuring the work of local photographers, artists, and illustrators. We aim to provide an inclusive publication for all of Coventry.
We publish quarterly, and issues are distributed for free at various locations around Coventry. Follow us on social media and we'll let you know each time a new issue drops and where you can find it. Subscribers get each issue in the post along with extra gifts and limited edition art by our contributors.
Never miss an issue
Secret Knock is the perfect pocket-sized guide to the best that Coventry has to offer. Every issue brings you a curated selection of the best music, arts, theatre, cinema, and other events in the area, along with features highlighting our city and its immense local talent. Our subscribers receive each issue in the post along with some freebies thrown in. Issues cover three months and are posted at the beginning of the month every January, April, July, and October.
Secret Knock also commissions some of our contributing artists to create works especially for the zine. These are printed in a limited edition, signed and numbered by the artist, and are exclusively distributed to our subscribers.

Submit your work
Our ambition at Secret Knock is to showcase the work of local artists, illustrators, photographers in each of our issues. Coventry has an abundance of local talent which we are enthusiastic about promoting in every issue. Please get in touch if you'd like to contribute to a future issue.
Submissions are open all year round for our quarterly published issues. We value all contributions to Secret Knock and all work we feature will be credited to you, the artist. We also commission the creation of original art for our subscribers.
